My amazing Peonies! I bought a single one 2 years ago, kept it in a pot over the Summer and planted it out at end of season. Last year had a few flowers and this year it’s exploded! Now a couple of (unusual) success stories. First my penstemon which I have replenished from cuttings, taken in Sept 17 and planted out last Summer, back for a beautiful display this year:And next one of my favourites, my Lychnis Coronaria. All these were grown from seeds collected from an existing plant in Autumn 2017, grown early Spring 2018 and planted out around July last year. In fact they were featured in an earlier blog post. I’m really pleased with how my grandchildren have turned out! Now for a total impulse buy. I went to the garden centre today with the sole purpose of buying plants for my Synagogue’s garden. (I’m a member of their garden team and we’ve just created and opened a new garden. Here’s a link if you’re interested!). Anyway I saw this Salvia plant and thought it would look lovely next to a similar one I have with pale cream flowers. And seeing as my existing one seems to love the space I’m hoping this one will too: I planted some Nigella seeds in Spring last year. I got a few in the Summer but a much better showing this year. They’ve started to seed around the garden too which I’m happy about (the eagle eyed may have spotted one in the Lychnis above)! Finally for this week are my Lobelia. Lots of these in pots around the garden: That’s it for now. Head over to The Propogator for more!
